We may update this Notice by posting changes on the Website, and we recommend reading it each time You visit. Additionally, we may notify You of updates via the email address You provided during registration.

By accessing or using the Website and/or the App, You, either as an individual or on behalf of a legal entity, confirm that You have read, understood, and accepted this Notice and authorize us to process Your information as described below. If accepting on behalf of a legal entity, You confirm that You are duly authorized to do so on its behalf.

To register and provide the Services, Bennu needs to collect certain information, including:

Information You Provide: Bennu will store the identification and financial information required to successfully register in the App, in compliance with Bennu’s Know Your Customer Policy (KYC). Bennu will also store any information You provide when communicating via email, telephone, the Website, the App, or other means, including details of bank accounts or debit/credit cards You explicitly choose to link to the App.

Information Collected Through Your Use of the Website and App: If accepted as a registered User, we will collect information about Your usage of our Services. This includes details of connections with other Users, Your contact list if access is approved, transaction details (e.g., amounts sent or requested, information about third parties involved), technical device information (e.g., IP address), connection times and durations, and geolocation data. Some of this information may be collected automatically through cookies on the Website or App.

Information from Third Parties: In compliance with Bennu’s commitment to preventing money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, we may request and receive information about You from other sources or use such sources to verify information You provide.

By accepting this Data and Privacy Policy, You explicitly agree to and authorize Bennu’s use of these information sources.

2. Why Do We Process Your Information?

We process Your information for the following purposes:

  • To validate registration details and create, configure, and update Your Bennu Account.
  • To provide the Services effectively.
  • To display offers and services tailored to Your needs during navigation.
  • To develop, enhance, and personalize our App and Services.
  • To prevent and investigate illicit activities, especially those related to fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

  • To contact You regarding Service functionality, mandatory communications, payment confirmations, and more.

3. How Do We Share Your Information?

Bennu
will not disclose Your personally identifiable information to anyone, except as required by law or as described in this Policy for the purposes specified herein.

We may need to share Your personal and transactional information with relevant authorities to prevent and investigate activities related to fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Additionally, Bennu is obligated to report and disclose information proactively when deemed necessary to prevent illicit activities.

You acknowledge and accept that Bennu collaborates with banking institutions and third-party service providers for optimal Service delivery. These entities may require us to share Your information, which Bennu will do while maintaining the highest security standards.

While we will not publish User data, Your name will be visible to contacts and any Users with whom You transact. You may configure Your profile to be visible within the Bennu community, making Your name accessible to others. Bennu is not responsible for information You or other Users share outside the App.

ennu takes all reasonable steps to protect Your information. Data transmission is secured and encrypted, and stored on servers that comply with high-security standards and applicable regulations. We maintain robust data processing centers with backups to safeguard against disasters, including earthquakes, floods, or fires, and ensure physical security against theft or robbery.

The security of Your information also depends on You. It is Your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of Your password. Your Bennu Account is personal and non-transferable, and You must notify Bennu if an unauthorized third party accesses it.

5. What Are Your Data Protection Rights?

Your rights regarding the personal information provided to Bennu include:

  • Access: Request access to the personal data we have about You.
  • Rectification: Request corrections for inaccurate data or update incomplete or outdated information.
  • Objection/Withdrawal of Consent: Object to how we process Your information and withdraw Your consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. This does not override our legal obligations to retain Your information for the periods specified in this Notice or for legal claims.

6. How Long Do We Retain Your Information?

If You attempt to register but Your registration is not accepted, we will retain Your data for a period deemed necessary to address potential claims.

For registered Users, we will retain Your information while You maintain an active account. Once deactivated, data will be retained only as required by law or for potential claims. In compliance with regulations related to money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, Bennu is obligated to retain records of operations and business relationships with Users, as well as identification documents provided during registration, for at least five (5) years.
